Who finds it easier to write in a depressing, gloomy and sad mood?
It's easier to convey because it could be easier to relate too.
How easy is it for you to write a happy song?
I don't read all the songs that are accepted, but I know a majority of songs we have here portray a sad feeling (Not that I'm complaining, I love your work guys )
I was thinking of having a happy week, where each member who wants to do this, must submit at least one happy poem/song.
It could be a contest if you wish. That just means that prizes would have to be arranged folders created and all those other bits and bobs.
So, two questions today, your favourite mood or moods to convey?
and happy week, yes/no/stopaskingquestionsnevaehyouarenotcool?

What have you been doing recently?
Hey everyone, Troisnyx here. After six years of relative inactivity from the group, I have decided to write a blog post here. I don't remember ever having written for this blog ever before, so it's a first.
So, I'd like to ask, what lyrical work have you all been doing recently?
Feel free to comment below, maybe even with previews of your work and I'll gladly take a listen!

With enough active members I wouldn't mind bringing back an idea that other admins / contributors of this group once had, lyrics challenges. I'm not sure how active our userbase is, but I'd like to test the waters and see how it goes. Anyway -- hope to hear from
Another group
Hello everyone,
I started a group, because I just thought everyone could use another place to share their lyrics/poems.

Never Knows Best
Never knows best
Feeling repressed
Break me free
From bonds of mortaility
I can't dredge on thats for sure
Don't know what i'll do once i'm free anymore
Never knows best
With a brand new life
Waiting for me
Past these steps
Never knows best
Feeling free
No longer bound
By bonds of mortality
I walk on clouds now
Doing what I please
Never knows best
With a brand new life
Waiting for me
Past these steps
Past the steps i walk now
As king of the clouds
You by my side
Leaving behind that old life
Never knows best
With a brand new life
Waiting for me
Past these steps
A sing I wrote about FLCL
let me know what you think :3
Fairytales
How easy is it to write a song about a fairytale and include the events that happen in that fairytale?
Have you done it before?
Just a topic I was thinking of when listening to Alice by Avril Lavigne.
How many ways are there to interpret a Fairytale?
You could have the traditional ways
or add a bit of a twisted pinch to it.
How about you try your best and write a verse 4-6 lines or more if you wish, and try to twist a fairytale up?
For example:
Tea cups held up by string
tied to branches
Mad Hatter offered me a drink
I had no control I let my body go
I sat down and played around
Time flew by and I was lost
in Wonderland
Quite a ro

My "happy" writing always sounds very melancholic, so yes, gloom is the shit.
